Low cost, receptive audience, fast, efficient, targeted, trackable, and high response are a few of the reasons why permission email has emerged as one of the most powerful internet marketing mediums ever. The ability for list members to easily subscribe and unsubscribe (opt-in/opt-out) to email mailing lists lies at the heart of permission email marketing.

List Manager enables you to set up Announcement opt-in email mailing lists that become especially feature rich when combined with Newsletter and Form Manager.

List Manager provides two opt-in methods for your lists. These methods include email and forms. These methods show up in the opt-in signature appended to the bottom of all your list's email messages. The email method is always included in the signature and simply includes an unsubscribe email link, and a subscribe link if the private list option is not chosen:

To add the forms opt-in method, you must choose it. This method provides you with two options: The "Opt-in Web Form" option and the "Subscription Management Web Form" option. When you choose the "Opt-in Web Form" option, a Subscribe Form and a Thank You page are automatically created for you. The Subscribe Form and Thank You page can then be viewed and changed in Form Manager! And, a "Go to" link to the form is automatically added to your signature:

Subscription Management
Use this link to change your format options, email address, or to unsubscribe.

When you choose the "Subscription Management Web Form" option, another link called "Subscription Management" is added to the signature (see above). This link enables your subscribers to manage their format options, email address, and to "opt-out" or unsubscribe.

When you set up a list, you can also specify what format you want your messages delivered in. If you select both text and HTML you are provided with a text and HTML window for composing your messages. For even more flexibility, List Manager provides a powerful filter that allows you to select and send messages to only those that end up on your filtered results. This filter can also be used to test your messages before they are sent.

With other CB Tools:

If you are using Newsletter Manager, you can set up an email mailing list specifically for your newsletter. List Manager's newsletter feature allows you to easily insert and email your publications. This combination gives you one of the most effective internet marketing mediums there is!
List Manager's newsletter feature also allows you to create a text version of your HTML newsletter. This is accomplished through "stripping" the text from your HTML newsletter as it is being inserted for an email mailing. The text version can then be edited before the newsletter is emailed. This feature means your subscribers can choose if they want your newsletter delivered as HTML or in text format.
If you have purchased Form Manager, List Manager's form feature allows you to associate a form with an email mailing by selecting a form. The form's link, which says "Click here to fill out the form", is then inserted directly above the footer as the message is sent. The use of this link flags the Client database so you can track which list members have filled out the associated form. All mailing and form results are viewed with CB Data's Client, Form Results, and Statistics Manager tools.
